General
The India Portfolio is an AI-powered platform for investment research and M&A.
At its core is our comprehensive Directory of 350+ VC & PE funds operating in India and their 5,000+ Indian portfolio companies, designed to help users research companies, understand investment ecosystems and identify opportunities.
Built on top of this proprietary dataset is our AI-powered Deal Engine, which analyzes thousands of potential company combinations to identify high-conviction strategic M&A opportunities.
The India Portfolio is designed for founders, investors, deal teams and anyone involved in researching companies and identifying M&A and investment opportunities within India's private market ecosystem.
The Directory is available through our Free, Pro (3 Months) and Pro (12 Months) plans. You can review our plans on the Pricing page and subscribe to start exploring the platform.
Subscriptions & Pricing
We currently offer three Directory plans:
- Free - 7-day limited access
- Pro (3 Months)
- Pro (12 Months)
The paid plans unlock complete access to the Directory, including comprehensive fund and company profiles, ecosystem maps, peer analysis, AI-powered search and profile downloads. You can compare all plans and their usage limits on our Pricing page.
Yes. You can sign up for a free 7-day plan to explore the Directory, but with limited access.
Paid subscribers receive access to comprehensive fund and company profiles, ecosystem intelligence, peer analysis, multi-factor search, downloadable profiles (PDF, JSON and Markdown) and other features available under their subscription plan.
Our profiles are designed for investment research and deal making, combining structured business information with investor relationships, portfolio intelligence, ecosystems & linkages, etc. As we continue to grow the Directory, additional features may also become available to paid subscribers.
Both paid plans include the same features. The annual plan offers better value for money in terms of higher monthly usage limits and also a lower effective monthly price.
Subscription plans include monthly allowances for viewing fund and company profiles. Searches themselves are unlimited.
Opening a fund or company profile for the first time counts as one profile view. Re-visiting a profile you have already viewed during your active subscription does not consume another profile view.
You can monitor your monthly limits and usage on the Usage tab of your Profile page.
Your profile view limits reset every month during your subscription. Your Usage tab shows your current usage together with the start and end dates of your current monthly usage cycle.
Once you reach your monthly profile limit, you will not be able to open additional fund or company profiles until your monthly limits reset or you move to a subscription plan with higher usage limits, where available. Searches remain available. You can however revisit previously viewed profiles as revisits dont count towards your limit.
All fund and company profiles viewed by you, during your current active subscription, are shown in your Usage tab. You can revisit previously viewed profiles without consuming additional profile views.
No. Monthly profile view allowances reset every month and any unused profile views do not carry forward to the next monthly usage cycle.
Subscriptions are billed upfront for the full subscription period selected. Where required by applicable law, a GST-compliant tax invoice is issued automatically using the billing details provided during checkout.
No. Directory subscriptions do not renew automatically. You have to renew your subscriptions by youself. You will receive reminder emails before your subscription expires, and you can renew your subscription from your Subscription tab in your Profile page.
Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If you believe there has been a billing problem or accidental purchase or any other issue, please contact us at [email protected] within 7 days of your purchase and we will review your request.
Using the Directory
Yes. You can search for funds using filters such as investment sectors, fund type, investment stage, ticket size bands and other available attributes. You can also search directly by fund name.
Where publicly disclosed, we display ticket size ranges, fund sizes or assets under management (AUM), fundraising activity such as new fund launches, first close and final close, and other relevant fund information.
The Directory covers institutional investors actively investing in Indian companies, including venture capital firms, private equity funds, sovereign wealth funds, development finance institutions, family offices, accelerators and global investment firms with Indian portfolio companies.
Companies can be searched by name, sector and industry-related keywords. Sector searches can be further refined using relevant keywords to help you discover companies operating in specific markets or business niches.
Our comprehensive profiles are designed to provide a structured understanding of companies, funds and their ecosystem.
Company profiles include detailed business overviews, products and services, customer segments, industries served, geographic presence, investors, peer companies and other structured research fields.
Fund profiles include investment strategy, portfolio companies, comparative peer analysis, sector exposure, investment timelines and ecosystem intelligence - including common co-investors, investors that typically invest before, alongside or after the fund, and other relationship-based insights.
Together, these profiles are designed to help users quickly understand businesses, identify investment patterns and relationships, and support investment research, business development, corporate strategy and AI-powered workflows.
The India Portfolio is purpose-built for investment research and dealmaking in the AI era.
Rather than simply aggregating company and fund information, our comprehensive profiles combine structured, AI-ready research with proprietary sector classifications, investor relationships, portfolio intelligence, comparative peer analytics, ecosystem intelligence and investment timelines. Together, these help users understand businesses, identify investment patterns and relationships, and evaluate opportunities more efficiently.
Whether you're researching directly on the platform or using AI tools to accelerate your workflows, the Directory is designed to support your research through high-quality, structured and comprehensive data.

Deal Engine and M&A
No. The Directory and Deals are separate offerings.
The Directory subscription is meant to provide access to the Directory and its features. The Deals section on the platform is a technology demonstration of our Deal Engine. Subscribers and companies interested in exploring strategic M&A opportunities through us, can contact us at [email protected]
The Deal Engine is our AI-powered M&A platform designed to identify high quality strategic acquisition, merger and investment opportunities.
Built on top of our proprietary Directory, it analyzes thousands of potential company combinations to identify opportunities that make strategic sense. Every potential transaction is evaluated across multiple dimensions, including business fit, strategic synergies, transaction meaningfulness and market need, before being considered for further review.
Yes, the Deal Engine is intended to identify high-quality strategic opportunities, while our advisory team supports the execution of those transactions. Our services include market assessment, valuation, financial modelling, due diligence coordination, transaction structuring, negotiations, transaction execution and post-merger integration planning.
Most deal sourcing platforms help users discover companies. Our Deal Engine goes a step further by evaluating whether two companies actually make strategic sense together.
Rather than presenting large numbers of speculative matches, our proprietary AI-powered analysis identifies a small number of high-conviction strategic opportunities, which are then independently reviewed before any conversations are initiated. Combined with our proprietary Directory and transaction advisory capabilities, this creates a unique platform for identifying and executing M&A.
