Help: Fund Portfolio Overlap Page
The Portfolio Overlap feature is designed to understand the immediate funds & portfolio companies ecosystem that the selected fund operates in. It shows a list of other funds who have also invested in the portfolio companies of the selected fund - the list is visualized by segretating these other funds into three categories -
- those funds who invested in the portfolio companies of the selected fund, before it did
- those funds who invested in the portfolio companies of the selected fund around the same time (syndicates, co-investors, etc.)
- those funds who invested in the portfolio companies of the selected fund, after it did

Let's understand this feature better using an example - here is the Portfolio Overlap for Creador

In the 'Invested Before' column are those funds that invested into portfolio companies of Creador before it. And common portfolio companies are also mentioned for each fund.
For instance, Multiples PE invested into Apacfin in Dec-18, while Creador invested later in Apacfin in Mar-24, alongside Norwest (which appears in the 'Same Stage' category). But in the case of IKF Finance, Norwest invested into the company in May-25, while Creador invested in Nov-25 and hence Norwest also earns a mention in the 'Invested Before' stage, for IKF Finance.
Multiples PE also shows up in the 'Invested After' category as it invested in Kogta Financial (along with CPPIB) in Mar-22, while Creador had invested in Oct-19.
Points to Note & Limitations:
- This feature considers only active portfolio companies of the selected fund and of overlapping funds as well
- Funds that are in the 'Invested Before' or 'Invested After' do not represent Entry or Exit paths of the selected fund into the common portfolio company. The portfolio overlap feature only depicts the chronology of which fund invested before, after or alonside the selected fund
- Given the dependence on funds' websites and news for sourcing names of portfolio companies, investment dates, etc. any limitations or inaccuracies in the source might flow through into the data on this page. We try to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness of portfolio company data, to the best of our abilities.
